Saint Bernadette is a virtual Church on Second Life
We do not consider prayers at the church a form of roleplay.
Saint Bernadette welcomes all individuals seeking God’s love and keeps our doors open to every soul seeking to welcome Jesus into their hearts. We invite you to open your heart and allow His grace to penetrate into your soul.
At Saint Bernadette, we pursue the Glory of God through worship, ministry, fellowship and education. We strive to connect with Jesus Christ and to each other, in order to magnify His name. At the heart of everything we do is the understanding that we must love God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind, and treat our neighbours as we wish to be treated ourselves.
Our congregation is fueled by a firm belief in the teachings of our Lord, and when we are together under the holy spirit of God — we become one. We welcome you to join our community and discover His power in your life. Don’t hesitate to contact us to find out more. We are always open to visitors and new worshippers who want to come and pray among us.
The Church
Saint Bernadette is sponsored by Paradise Corner Sim. The clergy and staff are voluntary. Any donation you give to the Church is given to the sim to help with the sim tier.
The building is based on a traditional Catholic Church and sponsored by Supremity. It has most of what a Catholic Church has including prayer candles and stations of the cross.
Saint Bernadette also has a small garden in which you can contemplate or prayer

WHAT HAPPENS
DAILY PRAYERS
We have daily prayers at the Church every day at 12 pm SLT. We do advise you to look at the notice boards at the entrance to see if any have been cancelled, due to real life. We try also to send out a notification if there is sickness.
Daily prayers consist of prayers, The act of faith, a reading and the Gospel reading of the day, a short homily, a song, and intersessions.
The services are approx 20 mins long. They are done both by voice and text.

MASSES
On Saturdays (12 pm SLT) and Sundays (11:30 am), there are masses. The mass follows the ordinary mass format, however, there is no Eucharist Consecration.
On Saturday, the Mass is done with voice and text
On Sunday, it is done by voice.
SPECIAL EVENTS
At times, we do special events at Saint Bernadette, such as music services, outdoor services, Bible study, testimonies, concerts etc
If you have an idea or would like to do a special event, contact the clergy or staff.

WEDDINGS, BAPTISMS, CONFESSIONS AND FUNERALS
Because Saint Bernadette considers prayers real, we do not do sacraments such as confessions, funerals and the Eucharist during masses. We do however do memorials and provide RP such as marriages and baptisms.
These must be done at the Church and we expect a donation to be given to the sim.
For confessions and Eucharist, we advise seeking clergy in Real Life.

COUNSELLING
We advise seeking clergy in Real Life.
We do not do one-to-one counselling, but you can put a notecard in the mailbox at the entrance of the Church.
